I am so touched by the love and friendship offered to me and Checkers, on this board.
I want to put together some photos in my Photobucket, to show Checkers, young and healthy.

I probably have hundreds to choose from, so it's not easy. It's been wonderful for me, remembering what a little stinker he was.
All his life, he was always looking for trouble to get into.

I've been reading condos, as I miss knowing how all my little kitty friends are doing, I just don't have the heart to respond yet.

I'm okay, until some little thing, stabs my heart, and the waterworks start again.

I'd like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart, for the warm thoughts and prayers and poems.

In a few days, maybe you won't mind, if I post a little about my sweetheart's life, complete with picture of his first bath when he was a teeny weeny kitty.

Oh I SO want to see sweet little baby Checkers!

And thank YOU...for being an amazing bean to Checkers and his civvies, and for being an amazing friend and LL member. I know it's hard to visit, but we hope you will stop by when you can. This place isn't the same without AuntieBarbBean!

I'd love to see those pictures. Sending prayers and hugs to you Barb. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: I hope you can stop by and visit when you are able.

Can't wait to see the pictures of the little stinker cat_pet_icon Looking forward to it and your visits when you are able :YMHUG:

A post about his life would be awesome.

When my pet fish Fishy died 7 years ago (I know its only a fish but she was a good 8" and responded to us when she saw us - she would get excited and interacted with us) I was gutted but not longer after, as a way of coping with grief, I wrote a good 2 page word document about everything I could remember.. what she ate, her quirks, her behaviours etc etc. I cried through doing it and it was cathartic.

Then a month ago my pet rabbit Bonnie died. I decided to do another document for her too. As a starting point I pulled out the document I did for Fishy. I hadnt looked at it since she died. And it was so good - it reminded me of things I had forgotten about her and what she used to do!!. It was so nice and brought it all back!! I was so glad I had done it - its amazing what you forget and what you remember. So I did one for bonnie too and even got DH to add his memories. I am so glad I did it for Fishy because of this and would totally recommend it to anyone.

In actual fact I am thinking for my kitties I might even create a hard copy photo book using Shutterfly or something. with memories and photos that I can use as a coffee table book.

I really want to hear Checker's stories and see lots of his photos. I love getting to know more about the kitties that were such a big part of my experience here on the board. This is a big family and sharing stories and photos is wonderful.

I look forward to your posts! Can't wait to see his first bath. (((((Barb)))))

Sending you lots of hugs.

I've told here, so many times, how Checkers cussed at me. He used to yell at me to turn the sink/tub, water on in the morning, and he had a raspy voice, so it sounded like he was cussing.
Every time I brought the camera with me to record it, of course, he wouldn't do it.

If you have something you want to record, or photograph, please don't wait. We think we have forever.

(((Barb))) I too am looking forward to seeing little Checkers and hearing more about his antics.

You are so right on recording things. When my Buster (GA) passed suddenly, I was so glad I'd played with the video recording on my then new camera.

Very true, Barb. I haven't done much in the way of videos with my herd, but I am photo-happy. If they were human kids, I'd be the most embarrassing Mom ever! I think I need to start videoing their uniqueness, though....thank you for the reminder.

Yes please! Will try to wait patiently.

(((Barb)))
Of course, I too would like to know more about Checkers and see more photos.
Take your time, and we'll be looking forward it it. :YMHUG:

We're looking forward to seeing that when you're ready, Barb. It has been a hard week for both of our families. We will get through this and have many positive memories of these little guys/gals and their quirky, very original personalities. Again, all our love and friendship goes out to you guys this week as it's hard to get used to the lack of soul, presence and pure warmth in the house.

Oh Jill, you can't know how touched I am, that you would take the time to post to me, when your heart is breaking, as is mine, for you. :YMHUG:

Hi Barb - I so look forward to what you will put together for Checkers. I miss him, I miss your condo, I miss reading abut what he was up to today.

This is ever so true. We do think we have forever....

Barb

We would love to see Checker's photos....not only would we love to but we would be honored to.

I saw a double rainbow today.....I think it was a message that Checkers and Charlie are ok....they made their journey, they are together, they are whole and happy but miss their mums.

Oh! Yes Please! Baby Checkers picture! I can't way! You do have one of him in the tub don't you? Even if it isn't a video.

Hi Barb -so glad to hear from you. I think about you often because I know what a heartbreaking time it is for you. I would LOVE to see pictures and stories about Checkers' life. I think that's a really good and healing thing for you to do.

I haven't been here long enough to "get to know" Checkers. So..for me it would be totally awesome to be able to learn about him from your photos :) Looking forward to seeing him and hearing about him.
