DeeDee just tested at 220. Hasn't had a.m. shot. Should I shoot now at 0.5 or 0.75 u? Or wait until p.m. shot? She hasn't eaten since late morning. Acts lethargic.

I'm definitely not one of the experts here, but off the top of my head I would say you'd have to skip at this point, because you'd have to wait to give her next shot until 4 in the morning. The saying around here is "better too high for a day, than too low for a minute."

When you say she hasn't eaten, are you saying she has no interest in food? She should definitely eat.

The main reason I'm posting though is to recommend you add to your previous thread from today rather than creating a new post each time, that way people can see the history of what's going on. :)

She did eat after I last posted, and ate some more a few minutes ago. I switched back to wet Friskies--she seems uninterested in chicken today. So it wasn't that she had no appetite, just her finicky self. Good, I forgot about the every 12 hrs. rule for shots. Thanks. I will also add to previous threads in the future. But if it's another day, guess I should create a new post- right? You seem at least semi-expert to me. Much appreciation!

Heh, thanks. Admittedly I've learned more (and am still learning) about this stuff than I ever wanted to, sadly. My cat has acromegaly, and that's a whole 'nother can of worms. Anyway, there are folks here who have been here for years and are better at coaching new folks through everything. :)

As for posts, if it's on one topic, I'd keep it in one thread. It makes it easier for people to see the history of what's going on. Plus, the people who have previously commented on the thread will get a notification that there are new posts in the thread, so they'll get updates, and can post on the updates.

Over in the Lantus/Levemir boards, you'll see daily posts called "condos," but those are threads discussing their cat's daily glucose readings throughout the day, starting with the a.m. pre-shot numbers, and documenting numbers throughout the day. Many members do this each day. Questions and help posts are in the L/L forums too, but they're worded differently. Since your cat is on Lantus, you might want to take a look:

The daily posts look intimidating, but it'll make sense soon enough.

There is a wealth of info on these boards - be sure to read all the "stickies" at the top of each forum for important info. Just take it slow and it won't be overwhelming. I hope you and your kitty have a good night :)

Hi you should stay with one thread like Keskat&Rocket suggested, you don't have to create a new post every day, its could be confusing to the members viewing multiple threads
