Lilly went to the vet and they did a curve on her and did reduce her insulin as of today. BJ came down Saturday for a visit as she lives in here in Columbus and brought me some Feliway to put in the bedroom where Lilly hides and gave me many very good tips and let me vent for awhile. Thank You BJ. What a nice lady and full of knowledge on many subjects.
I have read that some were buying food from Walmart. Is it any cheaper? I am spending a fortune on fancy feast at the store since having all the cats on it now. What was the name of it?
I have not posted because my mother has been having many health problems lately right around the time my cat was diagnosed with the diabetes. My mother is now in long term care in the nursing home with a variety of health problems and may not be home for months. So I am having to watch the nursing home like a hawk to make sure she gets the care she needs until she can come home.
Thats what has been going on with me.

Walmart's brand is called "special kitty", and you'll find it much cheaper than FF. I think walmart sells FF as well, for 55 cents a can.... The Special Kitty packs of 4 5.5oz cans I think sell for around $1.50. Meaty Turkey and Giblets is a really popular flavor.
Special Kitty just underwent a recipe change, but so far nobody has reported any problems that I have seen with whatever "new" means.

So sorry to hear about your Mom. My father in law is also having major health problems and just went in to live in care on Monday, hopefully not longterm, but we will see. I know how hard it is when you have worries about family and your pets. I wish you and your mother the best. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
How nice of BJ to come see you! That had to help a lot. I know it has been a roller coaster ride with Miss, some days good, some not so good and it helps to have someone to talk to. I am SO fortunate that my vet and staff are so willing to listen and help.
I just sort of felt a kinship with your situation and was concerned about how things were going, since I hadn't seen anything from you in a while.
