As most of you know Musette has been hospitalized for DKA from what is suspected something toxic that she ate. Today regardless of the vet's wishes I'm springing her from the clinic and bringing her home, I'm very unhappy with their ability to update me and what seems to be the late of testing her bloodsugar and ketones. I have asked several times that the vet call me in the evenings or when they have a free moment so I can discuss her treatment and never receive that call. So as soon as the clinic opens today I'm going there to bring my baby girl home.

Because of the fact that she is still on a feeding tube for now, most of my time for awhile will be spent caring for her so I'm just not going to be around here very much..when I get a chance I will still be popping on to check up on everyone and to give updates of both Autumn and Musette...but between a very sick little girl, the rest of the fur gang to care for and it just plain being summer don't worry if you don't see me much. :-D

We're cheering for you and Musette! I admire you following your intuition and springing your dear girl out of the vet for the long weekend~ good luck with everything & prayers for her quick recovery!

... and if you are seen around these parts, you will be sent off to tend to Musette!

I think many people can relate to your frustrations with vets and their 'timely' updates.
I am sure that you can handle much of the care at home, but be sure to watch for those 'outta my control' issues and get her back to the vet.
Hopefully, you will see good improvements with her being under your exclusive care.

Junior and I will think of you often, we are getting help on the TR board right now, kidney problems maybe...

take care of yourself also!
