Tas grinder problem solved

I dont know where else to post this.
I have a tasin grinder as I am sure many here do that feed raw. I have used it many times; however this time I cannot get the darn thing apart to clean....grinded just fine, but the grinder part will not separate from the unit???????????????
I, of course tried to get in touch with the folks I bought it from, and no phone number. So, needless to say, I am posting on my fav forum to see if anyone has any suggestions???????
It is just sitting here with food in it and it needs to be addressed soooon, if possible
Thanks to anyone that can possibly give me some ideas!
Just a nasty thought to know that it still has raw foods and cannot be cleaned up.
I can run the darn thing normal, use the reverse, everything turns, just wont come apart! UGGGGGGG! :evil:

Took outside, hit it litely on the ground....dont know, but worked ohmygod_smile

the big knob on the side will not turn?? sometimes mine is tight and I need to find like a soft mallet to tap on it. if you use a hammer, you may break it. maybe wrap a towel around and tap gently

I have complete removed the large knob from the side? ty for your response.
any other ideas? other than a hammer? lol

let me go look at mine but I would wrap it in a towel and tap on it. something must be stuck

can you unscrew it and take off the plate and blade and pull out the grinder thingy
 
tyty everyone, was sooo mad! besides it being gross, I neeeeed this machine.
Dont know what was wrong, but edited and litely hit on the side on the ground, came right apart.
Wish I knew what was wrong, so that I dont do it again :o
Ginding was great....9# chicken, turkey meat and quail, etc and 3 # of duck as a side treat!

The place I bought it from called me - was 9 pm, but they did and I was impressed by that. Said has never happened before?? Told me to use some silicone on augur (sp).
I plan to put together today and take apart again -CLEAN THO.

I've had similar issues where after grinding, it sticks and won't come out. I've used the heal of my hand to bang and then jiggle it loose. I've also used a hammer to lightly tap it and out it came.

I'll try veg oil next time, before I start and once cleaned up to see if that helps keep things loose.
 
I've often gotten my grinder parts stuck after grinding the food. I think the process of grinding it suctions the plate to the nozzle and seals it tight.

So I first clean everything else up so I have room to twist and pop. I then use a rubber band on the parts I need to twist apart and then just tug and prod.

Next time I will try a jolt on it :-D . Or a hammer :lol: .
