It has been 6 weeks since we said goodbye to Tarragon. While it seems like yesterday, it feels like forever.

"A house is not a home without a cat." That seems to be very true for us. Charlie has had very hard time adjusting, especially since he and lil T were so close. DH and I have both had a hard time as well.

This has led us to adopt two orphaned girls that have bonded at their foster mom's and will now be forever sisters. We should be able to pick them up this weekend. Polly is 10 weeks old and and was dropped off at the shelter when she was 2 days old. Daria is 7 weeks old and was found when she was just a few hours old in a warehouse. Polly has been spayed and we are just waiting on Daria to get big enough for her spay. Once that is done, we can bring them both home from OKC.

They are so adorable. I'm glad you are going to give them a loving home. It always helps me when I lose a furbaby to have others around to love. It doesn't take the place of the one I lost, but it helps. I was wondering how Charlie was doing since he and T were so close. I hope the new furbabies help him too.

I know exactly what you mean. Eventually you'll find yourself smiling more than crying when you think of Tarragon. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Such beautiful and lucky girls! I know how much you miss T but I am sure he is thrilled that you will be caring for these sweet babies. And I bet Charlie will be excited, too! I'm looking forward to hearing about their adventures!

Thanks Carla. Charlie has had a very rough time. He is getting better but that first month was pretty hard for him, as well as all of us.

I never met a kitten I didn't like! That's why there are 3 in the house, one in the heated shop and a new walk on in the yard . Seems cats find us. Congratulations on the additions it is meant to be :cat::cat:

Mr T is smiling down on you all. Those kittens are so cute, and they really do look like actual sisters. I know that Charlie will take good care of them. He is such a wonderful guy and can now be a big brother again. Glad to hear that he is doing better.
Keep us posted. We are so happy for you.

What pretty babies!

We're fostering a litter of five kittens right now who are 10 weeks old, and I've been having a hard time knowing we'll be saying goodbye to them soon. Your post has helped remind me how happy they're going to be and how happy they're going to make others.

the one on the left looks like one I had as a child that I named Phelesa. ( fuh lay sa )

They are so cute. Happy days ahead....

Daria is on the left. I have been drawn to her from the very beginning. She was born within days of us letting T go. My husband has been drawn to Polly. We follow the foster mom on Instagram. It was meant to be.

We learned a lot through FD.
Ain't it the truth? I'm avoiding so many mistakes with B&N that I made in the past, thanks to FDMB.

We all heal differently from loss, and sometimes the best aid to healing is to get right back up on the horse! I'm so glad Tarragon found you a pair of babies to love. I can't wait to hear how Charlie reacts. I third (or is it fourth?) the request for pictures!
