Target - Sheba clearance

If you happen to have a Target close by....I was pleasantly surprised to find 4packs of Sheba pate in turkey and salmon for 80 cents a pack. I guess they are discontinuing the line......I don't know if its just a local thing - but that makes them cheaper per ounce than Friskies and I believe they are 4% carb for the pate and still only 8% for the cuts and gravy (I bought a few of those two cause I wasn't paying attention).

It has gotten my furkids seal of approval..........I will likely go back tomorrow and buy whatever they have left.

I ordered some new food from PetfoodDirect today since they have free shipping. I bought the Weruva Cats in the Kitchen 6oz cans. Granted a 24 pack is $38 but it's better than my local pet food shop that charges $2.09 a can.

You're right - that's not bad at all - I wish I could afford the Weruva or the Merrick, but at three cans a day, I'm grateful they aren't too picky.

When Dallas came to live with us in Sept 2011, I started getting the larger cans - 12-13 oz. Cedric is a bit picky about the Wellness - will tollerate the Chicken & herring, Turkey & Salmon, and Turkey, but not the chicken. They like it better when it is "fresh" not after it's been refridgerated. So I started buying the styles of Friskies pate that come in the 13 oz cans. of course, it's not as good as the Wellness since it has meat by-products, but I guess the fat in the wellness hasn't been so great for Cedric. I think these weruva are lower in fat. At least I think so, after looking at Dr. Lisa's new chart...

Yeah -I was trying to find something that was higher in protein lower in fat because the furballs tend to gain weight and was surprised at the high percentage of fat in some of the really expensive brands, like the EVO. So I have settled for trying to limit them each to a can and a half of Friskies or the equivalent in another brand.
