Syringe size seems off

Hi,
I have been ordering my syringes from Hocks.com. They did not have my usual suppliers this last time. I had previous used these: http://www.hocks.com/insulin-syr-u-...-needle-1-2-unit-marks-gnp-brand-100-box.html and these: http://www.hocks.com/monoject-ultra...-29-gauge-3-10cc-1-2-inch-needle-100-box.html, this time had to order these: http://www.hocks.com/surecomfort-insulin-syringe-29-gauge-3-10cc-1-2-100-count.html. When I read the specs it seems they should be the same, size-wise. However, when I hold these new one up to the old needles, the length is clearly the same and the unit markings in the same spot, but they seem narrower, which would of course throw off the measurement. Is this just some sort of optical illusion? Has anyone else had experience with this brand (I don't like them- they also have a much flimsier feel than the others I've used.)

Some syringes have an inner 'tube' for lack of a better word that make the outer part of the syringe seem bigger around, in fact most do but it maybe that the new ones you got either don't have that inner tube or the outer shell (again lack of a better word) is thinner. Which is why they seem flimsier.
