How do you dispose of your used syringes. do you mail them somewhere or drop off back at vet for medical waste disposal?
That's exactly how I dispose of them, too. But as @Larry and Kitties suggested, it's a good idea to go to your county or locality's website and check out their recommendations. I think many vets will also accept used syringes... at least our vet does.I just have to place the "sharps" in a nonbreakable container like a plastic laundry soap container and after fill screw the cap on a seal with tape and label the outside and throw in trash.
Hi @Chris & China , I know this post is pretty old but I wanted to search for an answer before making a new threadI bought a needle clipper...holds like 1500 needles and then the syringes can just be thrown in the trash
. How do you dispose of the needles when the clipper is full? How do you dispose of the needles when the clipper is full?
Oh thanks! We have Walgreens here. I will have to check if they do the same thing.Walgreen's, where I buy the insulin, provides Sharps containers. When it's full I take it in and they give me an empty one.
