So I might run out of the cat food I normally give my cats as it is sold out everywhere I am able to get it. I have a few cans of a different brand, Wellness chicken and herring dinner pate. Normally I feed them Fancy Feast classic pate. Do you think this would make them extremely sick because of the change or are they similar enough? Sorry for such a weird question, but I'm panicking a bit.

Every cats stomach is different. I’ve had a few cats that done have any side effects from a quick food change. If you have any FF left, try mixing a little of the new food to it to start. A slow introduction to change over is best. My other cats over the years; it seems as if they tend to have a bit of diarrhea. I know that none of mine have become ill to the point of needing a vet. As long as it’s low carb & a wet food, we don’t have much choice if we can’t find our particular brand or flavor. My diabetic cat had IBD & I know a tsp. of pumpkin in their food helps with regulating the bowel. I just couldn’t get Baby to eat her food with the pumpkin... picky. Good luck with your babe!

the only problem I have ever had switching food is in the litter box. One always got the runs, one got plugged up. I tried mixing the old and new together with the same results. So you see its really up to your kitties tummy.
If they wont eat the new and thats all you have, try sprinkling a little Parmesan cheese on top to get them going.;)

GOOD LUCK!
