Happy Friday, Everybody!

I hate to be a pain, but we're going to switch from the iPet to the Relion meter. We've been doing tests with both trying to get a feel for how they compare and will probably continue to use them both through the weekend (since we'll be in and out and are used to dosing by the iPet).

I just want to be clear before we next week starts...Do I still go strictly by the number showing on the meter ("40" hypo, don't shoot "200" or under, sliding scale numbers at which doses change) or is there some comparison/formula something that I need to do in my head to make it compare for a feline reading??? (I sure hope my question makes sense...not quite sure it does to me! ;-) )

I hope y'all are having a great day - ours has been a pretty yellow (by Relion standards  ). Getting ready for Old Man Winter to make his return tomorrow...sure will miss these mild days...they said to expect wind chill of 8 degrees. That is UBER cold for us!!

Thanks for bearing with allll of my questions :-D

Perhaps if you make yourself a chart from all the numbers you've compared so far it would give you ideas of where to draw the lines in the sand for your shots....

You've been using the Ipet to determine shots. What did the Relion score then? Use those numbers the same. For example, if Ipet was 223, and Relion was 185, and you shot a 6.5u (I know you don't shoot that much) then you're going to continue to shoot a 6.5u when the Relion reads 185. Make sense?

I'm also pretty sure the lower numbers have less of a difference...don't they?

Sorry. I'm tired and having a hard time thinking.

You might drive yourself crazy if you worry about the different meters. I would figure you are going to use the ReliOn and go with those numbers.

You are looking for trends so whether it's 150 or 170, you'd shoot the same.

Think of how many people here use ReliOn. They can't all be wrong!

Sue, I feel pretty confident with our decision to go with the Relion; I just wanted clarification, since we've been dosing by iPet numbers, of whether we need to adjust anything.
