Hi everyone!
After having spent a lot of time on this forum, and after having met a lot of frustrations with Capoo's diabetes (we have nearly tried all the combinations of doses of Caninsulin, met only one smooth period of 14 days before having a hypoglycemia episode: that mean's that I have only have peaceful nights during 14 days for a period of 4 months thanks to the litter noise....), I have finally convinced my vet to change the insulin.
So, with drums beating, I am very proud to announce you that since Monday, Capoo is on Prozinc!!!!
We started Prozinc Monday evening with 2 units twice per day.
During these 3 days, because of my job, I was only able to test him before AMPS and PMPS (see his sheet), and the numbers remain quite high. But I have noticed that his number of pees have decreased, and that he is more alert.
I am now on holidays for one week and a half, and so will be able to monitor him closely.
Any advice? For those who have done the same switch, after how many time have you observed a great improving of your cat's condition?
