Ok, I switched my boy from lantus to levemir only 10 days ago. So far his numbers still seem for following the lantus curve approach. I know ECID, is this something that will just take a bit of time before he's having his onsets and nadirs according to levemir protocol?

Not all cats will have a different response to a new insulin. You're still shooting less Lev than you were Lantus so I wouldn't expect the curve to look better. Once you're at or above the Lantus dose, you may see a change.

Ok. I didn't expect the numbers to necessarily improve right away I just didn't know if when I switched he'd be nadiring later in the later in the day like most lev cats instead of around +6 like a lantus cat.

There's a lot of variability with nadir with both Lantus and Lev. Gabby's nadir was at around +3 with Lantus. It also helps to keep in mind that nadirs can and do move around. It's not that long since you transitioned to Lev. You have to consider that the Lantus depot needs to empty and that the new Lev depot has to form. It may take a bit longer to get a clear sense of how Gouda id responding to Lev.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate your reply. I've been so stressed out, plus we added in an anxiety med for him. Thank you for your reply.
