Hello all - I know I have not been on this site for quite some time and I regret that. However I don't regret that the reason was because I was able to get my sweet boy regulated well enough that I really never needed to search for information. Unfortunately I lost my sweet boy a few days ago. My heart is broken right now, but I am happy that I was able to have him with me for 3 yrs as a diabetic without any real problems. I wanted to reach out and offer the diabetic supplies I have from caring for him to someone who needs them and can use them. I have an AlphaTrak meter with test strips, testing solution, lancets, etc. I also have almost a full box of syringes for administering shots, I have Ketone strips and Vet-10 strips which test many thing (and in fact they use at the vet's office). I also have a container of Phos-Bind which is a binder for kitties who have issues with kidney. It is a phosphorus binder since kidney cats need to watch phosphorus levels. If anyone is interested in any of this stuff, I would be happy to make arrangements to ship. I am in the US.

I also would very much like to be able to share my experience with others if needed. I will try to check the board to see if there is anyone I can help.

Thank you all for the help I was given and the support I was given when this whole journey began. I hope that I can be of help/hope to someone else.
 
Sorry to hear you little Rex is no longer with you. Broken hearts take time to heal. You will notice that your cat isn't in his favorite spot, and you will forget that he is gone and expect him to be there and are all ready to test when....................

It's very generous of you to offer your supplies to someone else.

We have a Supply Closet forum for members that have any supplies they no longer need. Start a new thread over there, and post what you have available for others to use. You may copy and paste what you said about supplies over there in that new thread.

Simply wanted a post over in supplies so members seeking something for their cat would see it over there and respond to you.
 
Lighting a ring of candles in remembrance of your beloved Rex. Three wonderful years you had with him after the diabetes diagnosis because of all you did to help him.
