Hi !

Newly diagnosed diabetic here with arthritis. He'd been on fish oil in the past and I had planned at starting it up again....
Just wondering folks experience and thoughts on supplements in FD ? I also read something on B12 supplements also and figured I'd probe and look for more information. My prince has elevated liver enzymes and I figured the Bvits could help the liver relax and do it's job, but one study listed just mentioned B12 with neuropathy associated with diabetes.

Thanks for reading! I'm probably missing an older post where this was discussed now that I think about it

The B12 that is used for diabetic neuropathy is Methyl B 12 tablets, which is different to the B injections you can get at the vet.
You can buy methyl B 12 tablets at Lifelink online and they are called Zobaline tablets for cats. You can also get methyl B12 tablets from health food stores and online but you need to make sure they don’t contain sugar or anything else that may harm a cat.

If you change your subject line to supplements for arthritis you will get more responses.

I'd be sure that the problem is arthritis and not diabetic neuropathy.

Adequate/dasequin is often suggested for arthritis but I believe it's a prescribed medication.
