Hopefully someone sees this soon.

Do i skip at this low number? I am feeding her now so i can retest in half an hour?

Not sure how to manage her when she drops like this!

Thanks in advance :)

I'm new to the forum but yesterday while I was dealing with a low BG someone told me to edit my title with a ? Before the question or if you need immediate help put 999. This lets the experienced members know you need help. Good luck.

When following SLGS, you do not shoot below 90. Close enough, especially when still fairly new. One option, for next time, is to stall, without feeding, wait 20-30 minutes then retest. What you are looking for is the natural rise at the end of the cycle. Food will inflate her numbers, so that’s why you withhold food. You want to see what the numbers are doing without influence of food.

With SLGS, you also reduce if they go below 90. Since she gave you a 90, in spite of yesterday’s skip that reduced the depot, I would take her dose tomorrow back to 2.25 units. Hopefully she’ll see better numbers on that dose the next time.

Thank you @Wendy&Neko i didnt realise i should have withheld the food to see how she went. I have tested her at +1 and +2 and she her numbers have risen but we are still in the blue although i suspect +3 will put her in the yellow.

I didnt know they can react differently to the same dosage. I will follow your advice and go back down to 2.25 tomorrow morning :)

No worries, practically everyone feeds the first time.;)

It could be that Suki has seen some healing green numbers when you were not around to test. Maybe her pancreas is doing a little work and now she needs less insulin. Regardless, for safety, since we now know she can see green on this dose, best to reduce the dose.
