My new vet wanted to try smoky out on Lantus. He is on vetsulin now. The Lantus is $282 for one vial at Walmart. I can barely afford the $40 for the vetsulin. Anyone know where I can get Lantus for less?

My new vet seems to think Lantus will help get smoky regulated which she says will then take down the inflammation. Huh?

Most people from the US on this forum order their human insulin from Canada. It's a lot cheaper there. Check out the forum for the "L" insulins.

You can order lantus from Marks marine pharmacy here in Vancouver, BC Canada. I believe most people are paying about $150 for a 5 pack of lantus solo star pens which can last you a long time since you can use up to the last drop from the pen.

We're all getting our Lantus from Canada .....it's about 1/3rd the cost

Here's all the information

The pens are the better buy...not only can you use them until the expiration date on the box (usually at least 2 years), if you drop one, you're not going to break it!

Also, once they have your prescription on file, you won't ever have to worry about getting another one. I've gotten ours 3 times without ever submitting a new script

I'm curious why you lowered his dose down from 2 when you have high numbers. you seemed to be getting good results with that... Down to the 90's. Was he having a negative reaction in some way?
