I think about everyone every day and miss hanging out with you all here.

Where did everyone go? Not everyone switched insulins!

Life here is still crazy, the remaining 3 out of the Fabulous Five are keeping me on my toes with their different health issues and treatments. Love is a kidney kitty, Chase has heart problems and Sam started crashing last week so I took her in and her Liver Enzymes were all out of whack. She had an ultrasound on Saturday, thankfully it wasn't Cancer but we still don't know what it is. They wanted to keep her but let me take her home because I had experience giving fluids. It's still touch and go but she seems to be holding her own and finally eating on her own again.

Home repairs continue to be Pandoras Boxes but I'm making progress.

Hoping everyone is doing well.

Miss you all sooooooo much.

Take care,
Robin

Well, if you miss us, come on more often, Robin. We miss you too!

Yes, lots of the girls went over to Lantus/Levemir - Libby and Hershey, Denise and Shakes, Lu and Grayson. The kitties seem to do a lot of bouncing, but are generally getting lower numbers. Angela and Henry and Robbie and Ellen and Cassie and Lisa are still hanging in here. And Lisa and Jax look like they are headed OTJ! Even with the ProZinc shortage, there are at least 4 newbies on Health.

Don't be such a stranger!

Reading a post from you is a sight for sore eyes, Robin. The crowd has thinned significantly, but the angels that remain have missed you dearly. So has "Boz".

Sorry to hear the issues you're having to deal with with your three. Heart, Liver, Kidneys.... you've had to become pretty much an internal medicine specialist, huh? Sending healing vines to all.

Hugs,
Carl

Hi Robin - We're not all gone, just LURKING in the shadows! Good to see you here. Yep, it's changed a little bit... as you've seen, Hershey's a new UNCLE! :o  And when I'm not dragging Grayson off to the mountains for a conference, he's generally holding fairly good numbers. We've seen strings of blues AND even greens... mostly yellows and pinks, but typically lower pinks, and until the most recent trip he took, no reds  . So Lev has been a good change for him... and he's still eating like a little horsie, so he no longer looks anorexic! YEAH!!! A friend stopped by today, and although she didn't know him as a Large cat, she remembered how sickly he was when he was 12 pounds, and commented on how healthy and HOW LARGE he is. I guess the acro is more obvious to those that haven't seen him regularly!

I post mostly on the (closed) FB Acro site, but still meander back here, Lev and Lantus TR to check in (otherwise, Libby would have my head! :o   ). Clearly, she doesn't have the same size tribe that I have! ;-) It's good to see you - and hope you'll continue to check in on everyone!

Hiya, Robin!
I was just thinking about you the other day and wondering how you and your furry crew are doing. It sounds like you have a lot on your plate with their health issues. I hope you are taking care of yourself too. Sending good health thoughts to your kitties and to you too!
Miss you,
Marcy

Hi Carl, thank you for the kind words. They are keeping me on my toes with their individual health needs. Watching them struggle with their aging process I'm not looking forward to my "Golden Years". As my dad says "Aging isn't for sissy's".

Hey Lu, glad to hear that Grayson is doing so much better, I miss his daily antics. Good for Libby for keeping you around here. I saw pictures of Hershey's nephew on FB. What a cutie.

Marcy, how is my favorite cat(2)_steam doing? Scritches to Radar. Thanks for sending good thoughts. I've been thinking about you alot lately too. I hope everything is going well.

I'm headed back down into mom's basement to do battle with the spidies. It's like an archiology dig cleaning it out.

Take care,
Robin

The "golden years" frighten me, as the entire household is in the same age bracket. Grayson was first with any major medical. Think it's too late to get an affordable "group plan"???!!!

Mardi is the oldest kitty. She came in April 2001 as a kitten. The last one to arrive was Stanley Grady (except attack guard cat on the porch Bo). Stanley arrived 7/6/2007 as a starving little kitty... in the dog's fenced yard! Dom (dog) born around Halloween 2004, and Jack (dog) somewhere around June 2006 (rescue - no definitive age... maybe 1.5 when adopted Nov '07). Bo was neutered 7/2011, but took more than 5 months to trap him. Not sure of his age.

I just had some kids at the door, telling me that their dog attacked Bo and he was under the house next door. I went to see if I could convince him to come home, and he met me at my door. No cuts/bites/etc. thankfully! I'm guessing the dog got the wrath of his untrimmed nails. Maybe he'll think twice before attacking a cat on his own porch! Or at least Bo!

Bo is in, and I was nice to the kids - pretty surprised some 8-ish year olds would step up and let me know what happened. Of course I told them their dog should've been on a leash, but at least I didn't have to go "have a chat" with the parents! That's NEVER good... and I have tendencies of showing my butt when that happens. Something about responsible pet ownership.... But really good of the kids to let me know. And it appears, no harm/no fowl.

This is the second time Bo has been attacked on his own front porch. First time by a stray Lab. Ran him up the tree, and only a little blood... No wonder he likes to come inside at night. He can sleep with both eyes closed! He still doesn't have full run of the house, although he seems friendly enough with the others.... not all of them respond as well! He's all about head butts, and even grooming. Good with sharing his food too. A sweet boy! And much larger/healthier than many of the others! No doubt that he's cared for, when you see him lounging on the rocker or the front steps! ;-)

Well, sorry for hijacking your thread. Hopefully you've had your backlogged quota of antics!

Hey Lu, thanks for the antics update I needed it, there is never a dull moment at your place. Good for Bo, I hope they have to rename their dog "Clawed".

Donna, I am so so so so so so so glad that Asher is doing so well on the Lantus. I will always be rooting for you. Did I mention that I'm really happy for you.

I wouldn't miss a PZI party drinking09 for anything.

Clawed - what a fitting name for the dog! I'm still awed that the kids let me know! Maybe the future is brighter than I thought!

Great to see you stopping by Robin!
And to see Donna and Marcy dropping by to post too.
We've missed you. Everyone seems to have a lot on their plates these days and can't get by as often.
Lu keeps us updated on Grayson pretty often.
Henry waves hello! bcatrun_gif

Marcy, how is my favorite doing? Scritches to Radar. Thanks for sending good thoughts. I've been thinking about you alot lately too. I hope everything is going well.

Hi Robin! cat(2)_steam is doing ok. He has his good and not so good days are far as his BGs go. I haven't updated his ss in a while  Things for me have been crazy between school and work...I should be studying now.

Hope your fight with the spidies the other day went well. :-D
