I'm on the Yahoo stomatitis list, and someone came on there talking about this product. Maybe sounds worth a try?? But I thought I'd post here to see if anyone has ever heard of anyone trying this, or tried this product yourself.. and what the results were (if any).

Here's what the guy said on the Stomatitis board:
I'm a cat person myself (I've got 3 rescues) and am from an animal health
company called Pet Bio Tech.

We wanted to introduce you to a potential new product that may benefit cats with
oral inflammatory conditions. OraTEC was developed by a group of veterinarians
and immunologists that discovered certain naturally occuring amino acid
complexes had potent effects on inflammatory cells. Interestingly, these amino
acid complexes were first discovered in saliva, and thought to help regulate
oral inflammation. This makes a lot of sense, owing to all the physical,
chemical and bacterial challenges the oral cavity is faced with.

Certain oral inflammatory conditions in cats are now thought to be the result of
immune cells becoming overactivated. Although the exact cause of conditions
like stomatitis remain puzzling, the end result is an intense inflammatory cell
(immune cell) infiltration. OraTEC has been shown in various animal studies to
help control the immune over-activation, essentially Mother Nature's regulator.

Unfortunately, cats with intense oral inflammation represent one of the most
challenging areas that veterinarians are faced with, and there are no magic
bullets. OraTEC is just one option that may be beneficial for cats to help
support oral and gingival health, but by no means should be considered work in
all patients.

Our company is dedicated to providing alternate, new ways of helping to manage
frustrating conditions in dogs and cats. The products are backed by year's of
quality research and development so we can hopefully provide meaningful options
for these challenging problems in dogs and cats.

That looks quite interesting and worth a try. The only thing that concerns me regarding stomatitis with a diabetic is the maltodextrin and dextrose in the ingredients list.
