Stinky feels good today!!

I don't want to jinx anything, but I kinda' want to go stand in my driveway & shout this (heck w/what the neighbors would think!) Stinky is having a GREAT DAY! His AMPS was 118, he came right to me for the poke w/no growling, sat still the whole time w/no growling & hasn't growled all morning...I was actually starting to wonder if he wasn't feeling well b/c he wasn't growling! I went in my bedroom mid-morning to check on my civvie, Mo (it's very windy/rainy today & the noise freaks her out)...and Stinky was up on the bed w/her!! He hasn't gotten up on my bed in MONTHS!! Later, I opened the pantry door to get something & I heard a *thud* and saw him come RUNNING up the hallway...he stopped by my feet, looked at me like "You have treat for me now?" Well, I surely couldn't say no to that! He even allowed me to rub his chin & pet him for about 3 full minutes, when he hasn't wanted to be petted almost at all for months. And then he spent some time playing w/one of his toys!

I feel like he's surely starting to feel better & we're making progress. Thank goodness we found this forum & others who understand how happy & excited I am by today's "events", and who have been able to help me adjust his insulin so that he wasn't getting too much!

Congratulations!

I know that 'I have to go shout to the clouds' feeling - got the same thing when my little guy had his first good day in months. It's SUCH a relief - like nothing I've ever experienced!

OH Alyssa we have all experienced that moment....when they start to feel well again. The moment we were not quite sure we would ever see again.
Please remember to encourage the newbie's who aren't sure they can do it...who think it might be hopeless...please remind them of this, of your story.
I am so happy for you and for Stinky.
HUGS
