I know there aren't many people on this board during the day, but I'd appreciate it if someone would take a look at Stinky's ss, hold my hand & reassure me that I'm doing this the right way. After all the excitement the other night, we decided that if his BG was 200 or above yesterday morning at +24, I'd shoot .4, but he didn't get any shots yesterday. Last night at dinner, he ate about 1/2 his dinner then headed for my bedroom to curl up under the bed, so I took his bowl in the bedroom. I figured maybe the kitchen was a little too noisy at that point...he ate about 1/2 of what was left. At the nighttime feeding, I doubt he even ate 1/2. At breakfast this morning, he maybe ate 3/4. Since his AMPS was under 200 (171) at +48, I didn't give him a shot. However, I checked him before lunch & he was 249. I'm thinking this is probably due to the finicky eating at the last several meals not being enough to stimulate the pancreas? He ate all of his lunch at once, rather than coming back to it later as he usually does. I'm wondering if I need to leave it at "Don't shoot under 200" or adjust to something below that...the question then becomes, what? I plan to check his BG again once it has been about an hour after eating & will go from there.
