Still purring for tests, but numbers are mediocre

He seems to have settled at 250 +/- 30, with a flat curve. The thing that is throwing me is the occasional 122 at PS. It hasn't helped that I seem to have a batch of syringes that are poorly printed. Zero line ranges from about - .05u to + .25u. I am being careful, but not scientifically accurate (I don't have one of those micrometers that Vicky uses).

I have seen him drinking water several times a day lately. Not good. I'm not sure he is getting below renal threshold at all lately.

I just entered the last month's numbers and it looks like I should go to .5u and let that settle. Poor guy. October was a busy,c razy week for me and I should have been more on top of things with him.

He is doing really well on the prozac (generic). I just discovered that he goes absolutely limb and goo-goo-eyed if I scratch his neck all the way around with all four fingers for a solid minute or two. I knew he liked neck and chin scratches, but I had no idea I could short-circuit him like that. I think he has been trying to tell me this all along because when I pat him he rolls over and rubs his head with his paw from the back of his neck forward. Took me long enough.

Sounds like an increase is necessary. We usually say that moderate, steady numbers are a sign the dose is ballpark, so don't increase too much. All he needs now is some fine tuning. The occasionally 100s at preshot would also suggest that.

That Prozac is like magic elixir huh?

oops, well, I just shot the 3rd .5u dose - so about a 40% increase. Maybe that is too much. He was 152 at PS. I really thought, after going over the numbers, that .5u was the one dose I really didn't stick with long enough after he dropped to the 30s on .7u.

I'm really learning to hate the micro dose drawing. I think that is why I stuck with .25u for so long even though I knew it wasn't really working.

hey Sheila, glad Spageddi Man like the happy pills! Sounds like life is better for both of you now. :thumbup

Remember in winter where folks turn on the heat, kitties tend to take in more water with the air dryer and such.

I usually dump 3/4 of the water out of the civvies water dish when I refill, these days I am dumping out the 1/4 remains of water before re filling, so even the civvies are drinking more.

That may or may not be part of the excess water drinking, just putting it on your radar.

Good luck w/ the dose increase.

Jeddie was 154 last night (nice) but 257 this am (not so nice) I am wondering about rebound. He might have dropped low overnight. Why can't they drop low during the day when I am awake to test?

Also, I gave him his prozac in the pill pocket this morning and he got nauseated (started smacking his lips and drooling). I hope that was a one time thing and I don't have to start pilling him. He must have bit into the pill itself and tasted it or something.

So far, none of the others are drinking, except Charlotte who always drinks tons of water (hyper-T).

ETA: 332 tonight (11/4).
