I found the information below:

Is there more information anywhere else that I may have over looked?

Thank you in advance.

OTJ TRIALS:

Prior to starting an OTJ trial, one wants to see kitty mostly in the range of a healthy cat (50 - 80 mg/dL), but under 100 overall... with only occasional readings in the 100 - 120 range.

Remission is achieved when kitty can go 14 days without insulin while maintaining normal blood glucose valuesunder 100 overall. Most will stay in the 50 - 80mg/dL range. Although, some will occasionally experience BG numbers up to 120 mg/dL

o Start the trial on the next green pre shot.
o If h/she is green at your normal test times, no need to test further until the next "PS" time; just feed small meals and go about your day.
o If she is blue at your normal "PS", feed a small meal and test again after about 3 or 4 hours. If her number is lower 3-4 hours after a meal, then the pancreas is working!Post every day so we can monitor your progress and see if any tweaks are needed. She may have a sporadic blue number. Don't panic but post before you decide whether to shoot so we can have a discussion.
o After 14 days of no insulin, we have a party!!

Sometimes the trial doesn't work the first time and we have to give a little more support in the form of resuming insulin. It's not the end of the world if that happens; we just give her the support needed. Our goal is a strong remission and it's better to take our time to get that than to rush into remission just to have it fail later on.
Good luck with the trial!

Question.....how do you not panic?

I'm shaking in my boots. The double digits have me unnerved.......

Oops......I thought he was heading down and gave him hc ff gravy.

I have tomorrow off and can work on a spreadsheet. How much back data does everyone need to help him with this?

Thanks.

ditto. I used to panic to the degree when my mind simply shut down and I couldn't control tremor in my hands:rolleyes::p
But I ask that you try to take my words in faith - you will get used to it. As impossible/unbelievable as it seems now, it will pass.

Hate to stump on an old wart but having the spreadsheet set IS YOUR GREATEST/THE ONLY TOOL for the situation. Please do give it some more thoughts.

I would not be able to handle my first low number without help from LL. I was COACHED THRU or had a sort of a workshop - was told what to do hour by hour: when to test, what the reading meant, what to feed and how to interpret the after food readings. After couple of times with help I was able to handle it myself. Panic magically dissipated.
