Quick question from me for once! Does anyone know the carb content of Stella & Chewy? (any/all varieties) It doesn't work with the carb calculator I have cause i don't know the moisture content of the food since water is added at home. I am not sure what the percentage of moisture it is after it is reconstituted. I am trying to get a limited ingredient food for my cat with digestive problems. Ingredients look good, just need to know the carbs. :smile: Thanks!

:?: Do you use it? Is the amount equivalent to canned food ounce for ounce? Or do give more of it per meal? (or less?) Just wondering how it compares. Thanks, I'd like to give it a try. My kitty has some tummy troubles, yet officially diagnosed, but some of the recommendations have been raw diets. Limited ingredients. Thank again. :smile:

Hey that list is great - by any chance have you shared it with Dr. Lisa @ http://www.catinfo.org - she can add it to the food comparison list. Never mind, I just emailed it to her. :-D

You can use this as a meal instead of canned food. Be sure to add water as you want the cat to get the water the dry product is missing.

I use this as an alternative to giving dry food/kibbles. My cats never liked it re-hydrated so I just put some in a bowl and serve it dry, along with their low carb wet food. My cats eat it more as a snack, rather than a meal. But my one, Buster does demand this every day, she sits by the empty bowl waiting for me to fill it.

after looking at this list - you got the guaranteed analysis instead of the AS FED values if you are able to get the as fed values then you will have numbers that can be utilized properly, otherwise the data you have is not helpful.

I plotted the #'s into the carb calculator that I have. Here is what I calculated. (rounded numbers)

Goose= 4.5%
Chicken= 3.5%
Salmon & Cod= 3%
Turkey= 2%
Herring & Tuna= 0.5%
Salmon & Chicken= 5%

Nope sorry. Wish I could be more help in that area, I was strongly considering it but with 3 cats it would be more than I'm paying now in food.

Hmmmm, that's tricky of them then. It says "as fed" on the top of the page to the right. As to emailing them to have them added to the chart. I never knew the email, and didn't know if it would be read lol I have a lot of as fed from companies, I bug them like crazy when I'm thinking about trying their food lol.

well I sent it to Dr. Lisa and she let me know this is guaranteed analysis not as fed.

Contact them again and ask for the as fed and see if they will provide it.
