Dagron is still bouncing like crazy, and now I'm getting really alarmed because he's walking funny. Not full-on plantigrade yet, but he definitely has some hind-end weakness. (Now I wonder if this is why he hasn't been jumping up on the counter.)

I keep meaning to do another curve but I'm having issues with test strips (not having enough). I had to buy some at full price because I was sent the wrong ones. Once my exchange goes through, I'm hoping to be able to do a curve, but I will also be out of town next weekend.

It seems every 4-6 days, he has a number under 150 and I don't shoot, and then of course the subsequent PS number is over 400. I'm scared for my boy. What can I do right now, until I can get another curve done?

The answer is simple but not easy - get his BG under better control. You need a structured testing routine that allows you to amass a lot of BG data at different times in a multitude of cycles. If there's a way of buying test strips from a nearby pharmacy I'd do that. You need to have an ample supply at home all the time.

I really can't afford to buy a bunch of test strips at full price. And I don't know how I can amass this data with my work schedule. I'm at a total loss.

Many people have a busy schedule like yours so we suggest getting at least one test every evening and then extras on days off. Over time the data bank grows.

Re meter: many use a Walmart ReliOn type. The model they call the Prime takes a little more blood but I think the test strips are around $18 for 100. The other models (Mico is one) have test strips in the $36 for 100 range.
