Hi guys... just tested Starbuck & got 37, but then did a second test and got 51. She just ate almost half a can of Fancy Feast. She's acting fine--rolling around in the living room on her cardboard cat scratcher thing. I didn't do syrup or high carb food because I wasn't sure which test was right.

Is this OK? I'm testing her again on the :00.
 
I think you're fine because of the second test of 51. Hopefully she'll be up and surf now. I'd consider going back down to the drop dose.
 
I'm glad the numbers are coming up. If it were me, I'd continue to test for a while longer.

Also, if numbers are that low, don't give a lot of food all at once. If numbers aren't rising, you keep repeating the test, feed and re-test every 15 - 20 min until numbers are in a safe range for a while. If you give a lot of food, your cat may either vomit or refuse to eat. Neither of these is a good scenario.

Thanks, good to know. I gave her 1/4 of the small can to start. She's at 68 an hour after the 37 so I feel better now.
