Aw, I was so happy because she'd been consistent for 3 days.

Yesterday one of my other cats had vomiting/diarrhea so I brought him to the vet, since I was already worried about him not eating enough. He hasn't been reacting super well to the switch from dry to wet, even though I've tried 3 foods. Turns out he had an ear infection too and had to get fluids, anti nausea, and metronidazole. He's perked up and has eaten a ton since.

BUT while I was trying to grab him to do meds I accidentally left a bowl of dry food down. Looking at Starbuck's higher numbers last night & today I'm pretty sure she got into it. Could the food cause her to go high and then drop low like that?

Not super worried about the 47 because she just ate 1.5 oz of cat food. I'll check again in a bit.

Dry would cause the higher numbers but not the low one. Think it's time to reduce her to a drop of insulin. Try feeding a small snack at +9 to see if it'll keep her green and flat. Hide the dry food too;)

It's usually hidden! I've been giving it to my 2 year old cat who'll eat anything because I'm trying to use it up. Then the other one bit me and things got chaotic. The drop dose is you press down hard, then insert into the insulin bottle, then release, and that's it? I'll try that tonight.
