He's clearing a bounce today and there is a chance he could keep heading down tonight. Are you able to test tonight and have plenty of supplies? I won't be able to stay with you. I'm getting ready to go to sleep soon.

I'm not an expert but I think that you can wait with out him eating for a while (stall ) and see if he starts going up and then decide.

You should thake into consideration that your schedule will change for the time you wait since you will have to shoot 12 hours from the time you actually shoot

He's going up. He 139 now so I think I'll follow my regular protocol. I'll check him again at 11 and 1 and see where we're at. Thanks

maybe a token shot, like 1/3rd - 1/2 of a normal dose would've be advisable if you were able to monitor closely throughout the cycle. but I always remember what one member told me once: BG always better to be too high than too low!

We had the same situation this morning. We stalled then fed and gave half the dose. He was red by +7. I'm still new at lantus so I can't help much but just wanted to let you know what we did in the same situation.

Looks like you stalled and shot. That was a good option when you are new to lower numbers.

Now that the crisis is over, could you remove the 911 from your subject title? We like to reserve those for medical emergencies.
