I've done the pumpkin, tuna loves it thankfully and will eat it straight. All 16 are indoors, I have 3 stories and over 3000 sqft for them. I have tuna confined with me, Bentley is an issue. He was a case of abuse that I rescued and he doesn't take handling very well. I will try my best to confine him. I used to run an out-of-pocket feral to domestic rescue program, almost all of my cats are failures from that program (I've rehomed over 300 please don't think I kept them all lol) Bentley is a case of adopted out but abused, so I kept him and his sister when I did a home visit and saw the abuse. 16 cats was not a lot for me to take care of before covid. I had a great job, just bought a $265,000 three-story home, and had plans for a big wedding and had plenty of money in savings. Once covid hit due to my own health issues (brain cyst, autoimmune disease) I had to stop working. Then once I felt safe enough to go back to work the owner of my job died from covid. I just helped one of my cats get over severe pneumonia and that was $3k to save her life. Then I got hit with Tunas diabetes, another $1k between 2 vets. And my fiances car just broke down, not an easy fix either it's the transmission.
This year has tested me beyond limitations I thought possible. I was on track to open a new business with no loans at all in a very upscale part of my town. Now I can't afford to take even one of my cats to the vet. I'll have to look into the cat's in need program. I try never to accept charity, I was the charity before all this.
