Scooter the gerbil went to the Bridge this past Sunday :cry: She was just over 4 years old. I was in contact with the vet because of some concerns I had about Scooter and we had an appointment for this past Thursday. Scooter's tired little body couldn't make it so she went to the Bridge wings_cat She was fine on Sunday morning. Nothing seemed abnormally wrong that would have prompted an immediate trip to the ER. Scooter's now with her sister and brother and Squishy Merlin.

I'm down to two (crazy) pets now. Leroy and Emma are insane :shock: Leroy's an Aby, enough said about that :razz: Emma just seems to be encouraging Leroy to be even more crazy :o She has him jumping back onto the kitchen counters again :o, crashing into walls while running after her fluffy tail (hardwood floors, no carpet or rugs), pulling the rubber on/off button off the kitchen sink pull-out spray faucet (I didn't know that the button could be removed :shock:), playing with the bathtub drain stopper (fortunately it doesn't come off without a screwdriver but it does spin open and close) :shock: :shock:

Sometimes I wonder what I got myself into with two cats :?

Wow I LOVE their condo playstation setup. That's impressive!!!! Are you sure Emma likes Leroy? She looks like she's really mean in the video.
 
roflmao! he's definitely a butt man! and she torments him with it sooooooooooooo much! LOL!!

i think they are so fun when they're young like this. don't worry though, in a year or so they'll be laying around on each other more than playing and you'll find yourself asking them "Leroy, are you ok? you feel bad?" :lol: i find myself doing that more and more with the treedwellers. and no sooner do i ask then they race off into another room and lay back down with each other. ????
 
...and the difference between this and a serious cat fight is...??? I guess Leroy could run, but he does seem a little, well, outmanned!

Emma was just playing with Leroy in the video :smile: It's normal for them to have a wrestling match or two every day and chase each other around. When they run, it's kind of loud and you can feel the thumping :shock: I'm always worrying about the downstairs neighbor being disturbed and making a complaint to the management office nailbite_smile It hasn't happened yet but still nailbite_smile

Yes, Leroy just loves that fluffy toy tail :lol: In the video, Leroy went after her tail because I guess he wanted to to play/wrestle some more.
 
I know Leroy must have been having fun, because he could have used the side exit any time! And he WAS intrigued by that tail.

Personally, I love the sound of Kitty thumping when he plays. The pitter patter of little paw feet! :mrgreen:
 
Yes, Leroy could have left the cubby if he didn't like being batted around. But he stayed put and even went after Emma's tail.

The vet sent me a condolence card today. She and her staff are going to miss Scooter :sad:
 
I'm so sorry about Scooter.

fwiw, it's reeeeal easy to tell when it's play and when it's not around here. noises vs. no noises. LOL!! when it's playing around here no one makes a peep but when one decides they are not playing, oh yeah, they scream at their partner in crime and one of us jumps up and it's over, they go to their corners.
 
Cool. I'm glad she isn't a big bully. I'd be annoyed and need to put Leroy in his place if he was constantly after my fluffy tail too :lol: :lol: :lol:

Leroy talks when he plays. You can't really tell in the videos. He chirps and trills, which is apparently normal for an Aby. Emma occasionally does scream and hiss if Leroy sneak attacks her tail but she doesn't stay mad for long.

Their playground is a bunch of KittyCity pieces put together, http://www.kittycityusa.com/ I reconfigured the playground the other day and both cats seem to like it a lot better than the previous configuration :roll:

Taking a break from wrestling/playing :smile: They'll lie next to each other but haven't gone as far as snuggling.

Ah… nice to see young & healthy cats play… :-D Remind me of younger Frip & Grip..
I miss having two cats, one is much more quiet now.. They grow up so fast..

You have a nice condo set-up there… looks like that top cube is the place to be!!!

and I am laughing at your post about them flying all over abys can do that all by themselves LOL thats why I tell people if they have never had a aby be prepared for them to be all over you follow you be with you and get into everything :lol: Love the pic
 
Leroy has been a PITA lately @-) He just wants to get into everything and I'm constantly telling him NO. Then there are the times when he's hungry but won't eat and remains fussy :? I bought a pot of kitty grass last week and Leroy is going nuts over it :shock: I have to keep the pot on top of the fridge at night (so far he hasn't found it there nailbite_smile ) and locked in the bedroom during the day (where it can get sun) so that Leroy won't knock the pot over and make a huge mess. Emma doesn't care much for grass. She'll chew on the grass but that's it. Neither of them have shown interest in catnip.
 
I just watched your latest video :smile: That's more than batting, I'd say Emma was beating up her brother and he doesn't mind one bit :lol: My two cats play fight like that. It's the only way they "play" together.
I think Emma and Leroy are getting along fine, and will become even more rambunctious.

I'm sure Leroy knows that Emma has established herself as Head of Household but he needs to be reminded. Multiple times daily. Emma's always whacking Leroy around :shock: Leroy doesn't care. He just whacks back and then goes after her tail. If Emma ignores him, he'll start whining and pokes her until she sticks a paw in his face and runs off which starts another round of chasing and wrestling.
