Squallie went back to the vet because he is still straining to poop. The vet says the mass is larger again and that it is beginning to create a real blockage. We are going to see if we can get him through the weekend, and then schedule a pts for Monday or Tuesday. I’m going to stop all his meds except the insulin and the poop meds, not shoving any more of the hated pills down his throat, and he can eat whatever he would like, dry food, wet food, whatever. Maybe even a can of gravy good.
 
(((Lucy)))) I’m so sorry. I know what you’re going through. When Colin got to that point, I did exactly the same. No meds except insulin, and I even bought a tiny bag of his fav former food, dry Friskies, and gave him- it made him so happy gobbling that up. I hope the vet can give Squallie some comfort today and that you and Squallie can spend the weekend together with no more problems, just love and cuddles. Please give him some scritches from me and for you, lots of hugs. Spoil our favourite stripey man to bits these next few days. Make laps, cuddles, and memories. At the this point I was recording purrs and even the simple every day actions. We are all here for you.

So sorry to hear. I hope for lots of cuddles this weekend and a peaceful passing. :( this time is the absolute worst I know. :(

I can barely see to type through my tears. I know how hard this is, but you always put his well being first, so it's not surprising. Treasure this time with him and please give him a scritch from his Auntie Tricia. My heart hurts for you. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Oh Lucy, I am so sorry to hear this. I hope you and Deputy Squallie have a wonderful weekend together, filled with love and making memories to last. I am sending you comfort and healing vines today and through the weekend. Give the handsome man an extra scritch for me please. :bighug:
 
We will be thinking of you and your boy all weekend. Squallie is a very fine, smart, brave kitty and he will love you forever. The farewell will be hard, but there will be joy, too, because you are there for him to help him begin his new adventure.
