Hi. I am increasing Sprockets dose up to 3.75 tomorrow morning (wed am). He went to mid 100s on 3.5 but now needs increase. He is getting closer to the greens.
I am still scared for those numbers and would like someone whom is available on friday am about 9am eastern standard time for a few hours to help guide me so I dont freak out. Support. I have only had one time under 50 so its still scary plus I have anxiety.
Someone whom can fb pm me only because my cell is too slow to post on board when i am freaking out.
Please let me know if someone can helpe fri morning in case of lower numbers.
Thanks

Someone might be able to provide support and encouragement to you on FB, but, just so you know, we are not supposed to give dose guidance there, and especially not in a PM, unfortunately. That's because this is a peer review forum, and all guidance must be posted for others to see and comment on. I'm bumping this up so hopefully someone who will be up at that time can see it.

Ya I have been told that but when seconds count and your cell is slow with this system iy can matter!
I dont care if you post a what we did note later but this board to way too slow on my cell. Technology is not all excellent as some may think.
Thats the issue.
So thats why I must ask for a quicker format during the crisis.
Thanks

Here's something that might help if you prepare it in advance, Darnell: make a hypo kit and put it right where you might need it. Write out the step by step instructions on steering low numbers with LC and HC food in large print and tape it to a surface where you do your testing/feeding, etc. If you're well prepared you won't feel as anxious. You know how to do this yourself so please try to stay calm and not worry today about Friday. :)

Darnell, this is just potentially for support through hypo numbers if they occur? I don't think anyone will agree to give dosing advice on Facebook, or even confirm a dose reduction that way - we're not allowed to do that because one person on their own can make a mistake. But if it is only a "just in case" and someone to remind you to keep feeding and testing every 20-30 minutes, then I don't know if that falls under the "no Facebook" rule in quite the same way or whether that would fall more under the support and encouragement idea. You would really have to log into the board afterwards if Sprocket did go low to have any dose changes discussed and peer reviewed here though.

I have done this but when ya see the low low numbers my brain goes dumb!
I try to stay calm but i so far have needed someone to jump start my brain.
I already have anxiety so its hard to do until I really know what to do.
Takes time.

Yeah I am not asking for dose changes on the fb pm. Just support to get me through it so i wont freak out. Any dose stuff can be done later.
I just need someone to remind my brain to chill n what to do if needed.

That isnt against any rules, right?

No, it isn't. I totally get the brain freeze issue when in crisis. I do it, too. Just wanted to be sure you understood why we can't do more than encourage and support on FB. I'd hate for you to be waiting around for that kind of help there and not get it, or worse, get bad advice from someone that doesn't know/care about the rules.

We encourage everyone to have a hypo kit prepared and available at the drop of a hat. Here is a guide to help you with how to set it up: http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/jojo-and-bunnys-hypo-tool-box.2354/

A great Sticky to print out and keep in it is

Remember to tell yourself to breathe!!

Yes i have all that printed out but I am still needing someone to help for friday am.
With my luck, something will happen just because i cant find someone.
