Newbie here and I have a dumb question about the spreadsheet.

I think I have it set up OK but what do the numbers in coloured boxes mean across the top in row 1? And what do the colours mean that appear when I type in a result? I looked for this info but couldn't find it.

On a positive note my kitty is going ok with being tested, my first attempt was successful! I have only been attempting a AMPS and PMPS test at the moment. He doesnt struggle much and loves his treat after, where I haven't recorded a result was due to not getting enough blood. Hoping his ears "learn" to bleed a bit more soon :)

It's just a color coding to help see trends. Black is over 500... Extremely high. Red is the 400's, very high. 300's is pink/high, moderately high 200's are yellow, blues are better numbers in the 100's, dark green numbers over 50 for a human meter and over 68 on a pet are safe low numbers, light green under 50 human meter or under 68 on a pet meter are the time to be concerned about hypoglycemic leveled.... And the pet needs an intervention to raise the numbers up.

In the U column you enter the amount of the dosage you gave. Any time you can get mid cycle numbers, please do. It paints a picture of how your cat is reacting, how quickly he drops and how low it goes.

The various blood glucose ranges are colour coded at the top of the spreadsheet. When you enter a BG number in a cell its background takes on the proper colour according to where that BG falls in the colour coded ranges. As you accumulate a lot of data you merely look at the scattering of coloured to get and idea of how your cat is doing - eg., lots of blues/greens = really good whereas lots of blacks/reds = really high.
