Hi Caren and Apple,
Good to see your numbers up on the SS.
Absolute musts are before you give the insulin dose, so AMPS and PMPS. It's important to do this so that you know it is safe for you to shoot in the first place.
On the board we dose very much based on the data we gather and or dosing decisions are governed by how low a dose is getting kitty, if we know how low a dose is getting kitty then we know whether we need to go up or down in the dose.
I would aim to get at least one test in each cycle, (as well as the amps and pmps) but if you are home with apple, and are able to, then getting two or three tests in each cycle will be much more useful to you.
You are trying to build a picture so it's often more useful to 'sprinkle' tests at different times of the day.
So, for example, one day you might get a +2 +6 +9 another day you might do a +3 +7 +10. It really doesn't matter, it's like a puzzle, and as you fill more pieces of that puzzle you can get a clearer picture of the BGs
Does that help?
