Spayed kitty still looking for action?

I have a kinda weird question. Can a female cat that's been spayed still try to "get some action?"

The reason I'm asking is that my roommate's civvie has been working really hard to sneak out of the house, and a few times roommate #2 has come home and seen kitty and an orange cat going at it on the front porch. My roomie's cat is approximately four years old, and was given to roommate #1 already spayed (or so she was told). Now she keeps trying to get out to see her boyfriend -- we didn't think this kind of thing was possible!

Even if a cat is spayed, and cant get pregnant, if they left any tissue behind she could still act like she is in heat.

Vet can run a hormone test to see if shes still producing.

I'm not sure about female cats, but I know for sure that some neutered males still have their drive. Bandit has soft fleece blankets that he "loves", and they're his because if I don't keep them within his reach he'll start to drag our clothes out of the closet and "love" them.

Yes, she still may have the drive. My midora apparently had some internal birth defects. She had problems with her bowels her entire life (1992-2005). When I had her fixed in 1992, the dr called me up at work (which scared the crap out of me, I thought they killed her) all excited because the wall of her bladder was connected to the wall of her uterus and they could not take everything out. They took what they could, but Midora used to sit at our door and cry some nights. When I lived in Glenside some high school friends lived next door and they had a male cat. A couple of times Midora and I went over to their apt and she would walk around with her tail in the air, but completly ignor Lucky (their cat). He'd try to poke her, but he never got lucky (lol). By the time we lived next door to a couple of males, several years had gone by and she did not display this kind of reaction to Patrick & Boucher (the two males next door named after 2 NHL goaltenders).

So my guess is that the kitty is either not fixed, or still has some stuff like Midora did. Don't have any advice for you though, except to be careful that she doesn't get out.
