I know I’m probably way overthinking this but Ella’s BG was going down and then it started going up so I’m trying to figure out why…if she does need insulin or if there is something else going on.

I have 3 cats and one is peeing outside the litter box (she’s got a vet appointment Saturday for blood work) and I did buy a new cat litter to try to entice her in case she’s just being picky.

The new cat litter is SoPhresh cat seed. I KNOW Ella uses the box with that cat litter in it. If she is eating it would that raise her BG? I got the new cat litter and set it up on the 30th and the very next day her bG levels started to rise.

Edit to add link to cat litter

In the link you provided the back says they selected a high starch seed for the little. If eating that could raise BG but depends upon how much was being eaten. In the past I recall similar problem/post here with a cat eating wheat litter which raised BG.

I didn’t even see that!

I went ahead and removed the litter. I’m going to experiment and see if it makes a difference
