Something stupid?

Giving Jester his evening shot, I accidentally pricked my own skin with the syringe just as I was ready to pierce his skin. Didn't have time to think and just gave him the shot.

I absolutely got none in my own system, but saw a tiny bit of blood coming out of the place on my hand right after.

Stupid, yeah.

Should I be worried about possible contamination for Jester?

You should both be fine. I've done the same thing many times, also prick myself with the lancet all the time. I've got so much cat blood in me now I think I'm starting to look like one!

Now as far as poking yourself and then him.....maybe he'll have a strange craving for a double martini??.....LOL

I'm laughing right now because I did that at first and was really happy about the reading until I realized it was my glucose reading I was getting from pricking my own finger-

Yeah, we've done it too. And come to think of it, I was craving seafood just later that day

The one time I did it was after injection and there must have been some insulin in there. Right in to the finger. Jeez that really stung for awhile. It sure made me be more careful in the future.
