I recently wrote this up for acromoms/dads but it could help anyone who has a special needs kitty. I hope maybe it might help some of you who might be trying to plan a summer trip - a camping trip perhaps -

I hope you will like it and that it's ok to post this here - I know not everyone has time to read all the other sections of the board.

Very nice, Patti. Even those with "ordinary" sugar cats worry about traveling. It's great not to be tethered to home.

Hi Patti, This is a great essay. Thanks so much. We go "camping" in our cabin, but we'd really like eventually to go to some other places, too. We have a small tent, but might get another. Here's a tip for keeping insulin cool without refrigeration or a separate cooler that I heard about from Claudia (cjleo): the Frio insulin cooling wallets (they only require cold water to activate and will keep insulin at a safe temp for days (and can be continually refreshed with cold water). Check out this website, which gives great service, by the way: http://coolerconcept.com/

Thanks again,
Ella & Rusty

I can't open the document either. Was the address changed a little when you edited the document?

Thanks Ella! Your link worked fine.

Great info Patti, and loved the photos that went along with it. :-D

Re: some info for those who might want to travel with your c

Oh thank you Ella for fixing that. I don't know what happened. I just put a star by it for it to be informational - thank you for helping me!!!

And thanks everyone for all your kind remarks - I just hope it can help someone! :)

Thanks Patti! I love the pix. I dream of being able to take Tess with us, but I think she would freak

I have a pop up kennel just like that which I got from Target. I use the Tidy Cats Breeze litter box. When I've had to take Tess along to class, i put the pellets in a plastic colander , w/ pee pad under it in a tub. Much more convenient size than a full litter box and very easy to clean.
