Had great numbers last night! I'm hoping she actually got her insulin this morning. When I, "plunged" the syringe I ended up getting the very tip underneath my thumbnail, but I hadn't pushed down. I tried again and pretty sure I got her. I felt her fur after and didn't feel any wetness, but she's getting such a small amount there's a chance I just may not feel a furshot. She likes to wiggle a lot when I'm trying to shoot her ;/

Hope everyone has a great day!

My boys are prone to constipation too. They get one Proviable-DC (probiotic), one B12/folic acid, 1/2 tsp lactulose and 1/4 tsp miralax plus warm water mixed into their food (spread out throughout the day). It definitely helps!

@Heather82372 Omg yes! When she was initially diagnosed and the vet was looking her over my heart dropped when he felt her stomach and said severe something or other. I thought the worst (and has to wait in the car for an hour for results), and he probably did too. Her stomach feels so tight and round when she's constipated. He did x-rays and luckily that's all it was. She goes regularly enough but they're always kind of bunched up and I'm sure she has more to do. Do you find lactulose to be better than miralax or just something in addition to aid your boys? Snits had one really bad episode and after it was over I was feeding her pumpkin with every meal, but it felt like she was almost going TOO much. The vet said olive oil and I've heard slippery elm bark is supposed to be good too.

Note to self: Don't feed her so much if her numbers are low!! She stuffed and says no moreee.

What a great cycle :D

I know! She was a wiggler again for her PM shot
What a great cycle :D

Thanks! I always worry if I administered the insulin right since she's such a wiggly thing for it, but clearly it's doing its thing! These low numbers are nerve-wracking but necessary. I feel like she's a bit of a ticking time bomb, but I'd rather me stress than her. I'm a bit concerned with her swollen tummy, but it's most likely just constipation like it was on the 15th. She needs to get in the bathroom and get it all out!
