Snickers is 22 today!

My beautiful girl is 22 today! She was 11 when she was diagnosed with diabetes, and with the help of this board, I learned how to care for her. Six months on a low carb canned diet and BCP PZI, she went into remission for about three years. Then she was back on shots until just recently--for about two months now, her BG has been under 200. I realize at her age that may mean something else is going on, but I'm enjoying just loving and spoiling her :) And she seems to enjoy it, too!

It's such great news when we see a kitty reach this age. She's obviously had great care and lots of love from you. :):bighug:

She looks wonderful, a real testament to your love and care! Love the pictures of her as a kitten. My boy just turned 19, been with me all his life, I hope he's still with me at 22, too!

I love to hear stories of older cats! Great job caring for her to allow her to be so old today!

Happy birthday Snickers. Good genetics and lots of love will do that to a cat. I had a cat that lived to 23, got sick of explaining to people how that was possible. Never mind why, just enjoy the moment!
