Hello and greetings everybody!
I have a lantus question:
Sneakers is about 1/2 way through her last Lev pen and it is past time to move her up (acro kitty) but her new pack won't be in until August, first full week of
.
So... I was holding off on increasing, checking cl for possible sources and got a bright idea  I have a diabetic friend who lives in apartment housing and called him to check around to see if anyone had any lev they could sell me. I just bought the other one but didn't realize it would TAKE SO LONG to get here and I couldn't afford to buy another 5pk from the pharmacy here. Great news, he just picked up his new order of insulin and had 3 'long-lasting' pens left from last month- would I care for them? It is Lantus, but one long lasting insulin verses another- for a short time would it matter?
Unless someone tells me it will vastly effect Sneakers I will be using the lantus pen on her and then switch to the lev once the pen is used up. I know there is sting factor but I feel that is a small price to pay when it seems like she could go a week or two without insulin otherwise.
This will probably blow tight regulation out of the water but having her covered with insulin means I can up her dose again as planned.
Thanks!
