Sneakers 4-13 - 4-14

Woo-hoo it's Friday!!! Sitting in an HR training at work and thought to take some time to update all my numbers and get onto post.

Her numbers at 2.5u have been a lot better- lots more yellows, but still some pinks going on- and this morning i got some blacks :shock: ! Since she still has mid to high pinks I decided to change her to 3u today and I can check it over the weekend.

She is on a 7/7 schedule, last night was a school night so she got her shot at 7:30/40, and since I went in to work late today for the meeting and will get home late I moved her shot back to 8/8 just for today so she won't be too off for tonight. She also had a little piece of turkey this morning when I had a turkey sandwich (solid food- YUM!- i've been on meal replacements for the last 6 weeks. Mom complained a little- we went to Chicago and the only food I could eat was a subway grilled chicken salad :lol: .) She hasn't wined for my food in a long time- so she is feeling better - and I know someone in PZI gives their cat turkey as an occasional treat but it looks like it is higher in carb that she usually gets. I need to buy more food this weekend so will look into moving up to 3% carb for this next batch.

I made a batch of Sneakers food a couple weeks ago and was cooking the chicken and found my mouth watering... I finally got it that THIS is what Sneakers is like every time I cook meat or have turkey or ham- she wants a piece because it smells so good.

She is moving around more I have noticed- no jumping- except to the bed- but she does like to go outside at night, just to sniff in the cool night air. She usually jumps into a half barrel I have and hunkers down so just her ears and eyes are above the rim.

You can give her lightly boiled chicken as a treat, or turkey I suppose if you make it yourself. Neither will have any carbs. I do give my cats deli turkey or that rotisserie chicken from the grocery store, but be careful with it - it is loaded with sodium and these days everything "prepared" from the store seems to have sugar of some kind in it. Sad, really, that we have to have our meats "sweet".

That may be it as she hasn't been this high since I had a late school night and she probably went 3 hours without food (usually it is just 2).

Currently I can have one meal a day and a snack with 3 meal replacements- one of my meats that is okay is lean turkey. I can also do a grilled (george foreman to the rescue!) or baked chicken, so I might just lightly do a few pieces for her and give her that when I make a sandwich :lol: .

Well... she must like the 3u because she gave me a blue last night for her nadir (181)!

Yes, yes, its still 20 points from her usual yellows but I am CLAIMING the BLUE!! :lol: I so do need it.

She is more active in small ways... spent about 5 minutes alone outside- neighbor came to talk and she slipped out- but I didn't worry as I had just fed her. She sniffed all around his house- probably like she used to in her active days last year (she was more an outside cat in the great weather than an inside cat). I just barely shut the door to keep out the bugs and soon she pushed it in.

Oh, she is liking the lev! And claim those blues. Hopefully, it is just the first of many.
