What wonderful news! Congratulations Mooch and Lisa for going OTJ!!! I loved the extra piece at the end of the video announcing Mooch's new furever home. I watched it on my phone at work and I also got teary eyed when Gandalf picture came on the screen. I am so happy for you Vicky. Mooch, you're getting the best mama in the world!!

Aww, thanks everyone for the congratulations.
Mr. Mooch, who will probably receive a new name soon after arrival, will have to spend a few days in my bedroom before being introduced to everyone. They will be able to sniff one another through a crack in the doors. They are sliding doors and don't come together at the bottom. His foster mom has told me he's a bit of an escape artist, so he may meet everyone sooner than later!
I am not picking him up from the St. Louis airport until very late Thursday night, so it will be sometime Friday before there's an update.
This was a very hard decision for me. The first pictures I saw of him reminded me greatly of Gandalf and I was afraid I was making the decision for the wrong reason. I have 3 other cats, one who is 20 and frail and I owe them my attention, attention they did not always get while Gandalf was alive and especially while he was ill. Mooch being and hopefully staying OTJ will make things easier and I hope they can share my home amicably. I feel that I have Gandalf's blessing, for reasons I will keep to myself.

Isn't that a long drive to the St. L airport from you? Are you heading right back or staying overnight somewhere? Just be careful driving so late at night.
