Ok, don't want to be gross here but Harley has the smallest poops I have ever seen, and they are getting smaller. He is on FF plus raw (has skin and bone in it). He should be doing better. He does not strain when pooping, but should I be looking at adding Miralax every day.

Crash is 17lb and I feed him two big meals a day with 1/16th tsp of Miralax mixed in those two meals. There is also about 1 heaping icedteaspoon of pumpkin in it and a tsp of water. He also gets six smaller meals of just a few bites of straight food. He's been on this for a couple years, and the poopus is regular and good sized. Don't want to wait too long with the small poops. Are you feeding pumpkin? It does not change the sugar level in most cats and gives them some fiber.

I got measuring spoons someplace that have Dash Pinch Smidgen and Nip. He gets a Pinch. They look like this: http://www.redhillgeneralstore.com/hous ... pc1068.htm

You may want to check with the vet to make sure there isn't any stricture or other medical reason for the poops becoming smaller.

With Harley being diabetic, the pumpkin will add carbs to his diet. I didn't think pumpkin was acceptable.

Pumpkin and Miralax were recommended by several on the board when Crash stopped pooping normally. It didn't affect Crash or other kitties numbers, and still doesn't. Make sure it is straight pumpkin though, not the pie mix. He started it on Day 12 OTJ - and is still on it today.

Happy Pooping! :)

PS - I freeze half and pull it out a day or so before needed. Libby makes the smoothest pumpkin, and it's a little rubbery after freezing, but acceptable to the boy.
