Sliding scale dosing not working. Split the difference?

So I've tried sliding scale dosing with Bud but I'm wondering if the higher dosing in the evening is causing a lower AMPS, and the lower dosing in the morning is causing the higher PMPS. The times that I've dosed lower and caught mid cycle numbers, the insulin didn't seem to have much effect on him. Do I need to maybe split the difference and dose at 1.0 unit AM and PM for a bit to see if he evens out?

What is your sliding scale? Maybe the dose ranges need to be adjusted.

Here was my original thinking:
400+ 1.4 units
350-399 1.2 units
300-349 1.0 units
200-299 0.8 units

Maybe try dropping 0.2 off of those you have and see how that works.
Also, keep the intervals the same range of about 50 mg/dL.

450-459 1.4 units
400-449 1.2 units
350-399 1.0 units
300-349 0.8 units
250-299 0.6 units
200-249 0.4 units
150-199 0.2 units

After you have a chance to look at and/or test these out, you may want to tweak the ranges up or down a bit, rather than the doses.
