SLGS on the 6th cycle; do I increase Lantus to 1.5?

I have officially switched Kitten to wet food and have the automatic feeder programmed to feed her every 4 hours (she receives insulin at 5 a.m./p.m.). If you look at Kitten's spreadsheet you can see her numbers are getting better since I started the process (April 19) and numbers are improving since increasing Lantus to 1.25 (April 22).

The PM insulin tonight will be 1.25 but should I increase Lantus to 1.5 tomorrow or hold out 1.25 units? This is the lowest and most consistent BG I have seen Kitten have since the the diagnosis. I am so happy to have found this group as I have gotten amazing advice and it's showing in Kitten's BG numbers!

With SLGS you need to do a curve and then decide on the dose. How long has Kitten been on only wet low carb food? That will make a difference as well.

She has been on wet food for 8 days. I didn't realize I should link all threads, thanks!

Fofllowing the SLGS dosing method, you hold each dose for 7 days, unless she goes under 90. However, now that you are feeding all wet food, you can decide to switch to following the Tight Regulation protocol, if you wish. If you were following TR, you could increase to 1.5 units.

Sounds like Kitten is feeling much better under the wet food, her numbers are getting better too. :)
