how long till PMPS time?

u know....cats are unpredictable...Slashy prob has read your post by now and thinking of ways to throw u off.... cat(2)_steam

if I were in ur shoes, I'd use the strip tonight and if I had a car, no matter how far, I would go buy strips.
 
To be honest, I can't feel comfortable recommending a skipped test on either shot. Things are changing for Slashy right now, and he could give you a green preshot at any time.

If there is any kind of a store with a pharmacy near you, even if you can't get your regular brand of strips you can probably get one of their store brand meters and strips pretty inexpensively. Sometimes the store brand meters come with 10 strips. If getting more strips absolutely isn't an option, then IMHO the only choice is to give a BCS (Big Chicken Sh*t) dose for one of the shots. Even that is worrisome, with no idea what the number is, but would be safer than a dose that is giving him such great numbers right now. I also don't feel that it's safe for a higher-dose cat to skip a shot.
 
Hello All and thank you for your prompt advice.

I live in the sticks. There is nothing within 35 miles. Our normal pharmacy where I get the strips that fit our tester would be closed by the time I got there.

PMPS has come and gone. So, I gave him his regular dose of 4.5. His PMPS has been consistently high lately, higher than AMPS.

He is consistently hungry and I will make sure he gets to eat throughout the night and keep a close eye on him. He is always ravenous so if there is any change in that behavior I will panic then.

PS.. the recent pmps test that show "no test" on the spreadsheet means I was not home. Sue (wife) is pretty good at getting tests but lately Slashy has been increasingly irrate at being tested. I seem to be the only one that can handle him, sometimes.
