The past few weeks have been looking good for us! We’ve been having consistent readings. It’s been exciting to see more greens. I was able to make a list of his favorite LC FF flavors after a few weeks of trial which helps with the consistency I think. The “flaked” kind seems to be a real winner. We moved back up to the 1 unit dose as you mentioned. What would be the next signs of progress to look for?
We have reached two months on our ProZinc vial. I’ve read a couple people’s opinion on the expiration. We still have more than half the vial. I knew we’d never finish the whole thing, but wondering when to move on. There haven’t been any signs of the insulin getting weaker. Is it time to replace?

I think you will start to see some more green on the new dose. We may need to set a custom reduction point for Skully since he still eats a little of the Wysong Epigen food and therefore should not follow MPM, but I do think he can do better and spend more time in some safe green numbers. Does he reliably eat the snacks in the first part of the cycle?

Yes, he’s been reliably eating his wet food meals at shot time, +1, and +2. I see he takes bites of the dry food for the first half of the cycle. Maybe it’s finally time to take it away as we’ve gotten more consistent with the wet. But we did just raise the dose? I would like to know more about the custom reduction point idea.

They’re so cute! Are they good friends?
These two are besties! She is 5 months old now. We introduced them at 2 months and they clicked together. She keeps him very active. They love chasing each other and cuddling. I’m so thankful she’s a huge plus to his life. They’re too stinkin cute, I love to share.

A little low carb wet food can help him surf in green for longer.
Do you mean adding more wet food meals?
Also, what are your thoughts on ProZinc expiration I mentioned in my first post?
And yes a 79! :) I’m very excited to see these numbers and tomorrow, this weekend, we will get more data.

I don’t mean necessarily adding more… but sometimes yes… giving a teaspoon of low carb wet food when they’re in green like that can actually help them to stay in green. So it’s possible… if you’re around… to give an extra teaspoon for an hour or so.

Seeing these great numbers make me think that there’s nothing wrong with your ProZinc. I doubt it has lost potency. Many people use their ProZinc for 6 months. You don’t have to wait that long if you’re uncomfortable with, but yours is still good, I’m sure.
