He is looking so good, Rae Ann! I hope he will be high enough to shoot tonight. If he is under 200 but near and rising, you can try a few drops.

You pull up a test syringe of water to say .25. Then push out drops to see how many drops are in that dose. Then you'll know that dose minus x numbers of drops = the dose you want to give for say, half of .25

If you decide to work with drops, your objective is to be able to make the same number of same sized drops each time, for consistency.

Some folks find turning the plunger while squeezing gives them better control for this.

I used the 'turning of the plunger' method when doing drops for RumpelT. It did make it easier to count the drops. Twist slow and you will see the drops appear.

Down to trying "drops".....YAY !!! :-D

Are you dripping the insulin out inside the bottle or do you waste insulin? :o
It would be nice if I didn't have to get another bottle. :)

Outside of the bottle. You will have to hold syringe up to light so you can see the drops. If you can draw up 0.25 easily and then count out the drops the first time...then you can get a pretty good idea. Actually not very much insulin is wasted.

Some members here use colored water in a test syringe to practice first and then make a mark on that syringe for future reference when they get a good 'drop area'.

it is even easier & less waste if you are using U100 syringes (I forget if you are  ) because you can draw 0.25 a lot easier.
