Skin growths...anyone else's cat have them?

Since Buffy was diagnosed with diabetes, and on insulin, she's developed small growths in various places on her body. She has about 6 of them, a few are about the size of two pin heads. The vet says that they are "old lady" growths and not to be concerned unless they start to look different or get larger.

I don't know if this is just a coincidence of if this is a result of her diabetes. Anyone else notice this in your cat?

Trix and one of my other kitties (who has passed away) both have had very small cysts, although one of Mario's did start changing and growing. We do just keep a close eye on them in case there are any changes. I don't think they are necessarily a function of FD, since Mario had them, too, and he wasn't diabetic.
 
Smokey had a bunch of different little growths on top of her skin, seemed like the oils emitting from her skin were getting stuck in a pocket instead of shedding off. We froze some off, but they just kept growing. Sophia had some and now I see a few showing up on Taz so I think they are "old lady growths".
 
It could be a mast cell tumor which can be locally invasive. Monitor for change and ask the vet.

My civvie Tux has had 3 removed - the first from her lower left eyelid, one from inside her ear, and a third from the top of base of her tail.

Tennie has sebaceous cysts all over his body. They kind of ooze an oily substance sometimes.
He had about 5 removed from his tail about 3-4 years ago and they grew back.
I just try to keep everything as clean as possible.
 
Hmm... I've been noticing some here and there on kitty. When I parted her fur they looked very much like skin tags. Like the ones you sometimes see on older people. Figured that's what it was since she's getting older.
 
Yep that's exactly what they look like. It just seemed odd to me that they appeared after we started her on the insulin. Two of them are very noticeable, just above her eye and right in her whiskers.
